Lord Devery is a Black queer storyteller and podcast host whose work centers empathy, interconnectedness, and consciousness-raising through reflective audio storytelling. His practice uses vulnerability and dialogue to explore shared human experience, collective responsibility, and care as tools for personal and social transformation.

Grounded in themes of presence and interdependence, Devery’s work invites audiences to slow down, listen deeply, and reconsider how we relate to one another and the world around us. His creative approach challenges isolation and inspires more mindful, compassionate ways of being.

Derwin King

Co-host

Derwin King is an American actor and performer from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Intuitive and deeply perceptive by nature, he approaches his work and life with a commitment to self-growth and a passion for helping others move closer to their best selves. Known to many as the “King of Gifs,” Derwin’s expressive performances have taken on a life of their own, becoming staples in daily texts and social media conversations. Since 2019, he has performed with the DC-based collective Cagedbirds Productions, appearing in work presented in Atlanta, Houston, and Washington, DC.

Derwin has been performing since the age of 13, starring and co-starring in various plays and special projects. Across mediums, his work is rooted in emotional honesty, presence, and connection, reflecting his belief that art can be a powerful tool for reflection, healing, and transformation.
